Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: 2026-05-14
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires that publishers clearly disclose any “material connection” with the brands and products they recommend (16 CFR Part 255 — Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials). This page is our up-front, plain-English disclosure. We also include short, inline disclosures on individual pages that contain affiliate links.
1. How We Make Money
ai-best.deals is reader-supported. We earn revenue in three ways:
- Affiliate commissions. Many of the outbound links to AI tools on this Site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, the merchant may pay us a commission. The price you pay is the same whether or not the link is an affiliate link; in some cases readers get a better deal through our link than through the merchant's public page.
- Sponsored placements.Vendors can pay to be featured in clearly-labeled placements (e.g. “Sponsored listing”, “Featured deal”, or “Promoted”). Sponsorship buys placement and visibility — it does not buy a positive review or a higher organic ranking.
- Display advertising. We may run display ads from networks such as Google AdSense. Ad networks may personalize ads using cookies as described in our Cookie Policy.
2. Affiliate Networks We Work With
We participate in affiliate programs operated by, among others: Impact, PartnerStack, ShareASale, Rewardful, AppSumo, and direct partner programs run by individual SaaS vendors. Each network has its own tracking, cookie duration, and commission structure. We do not list a tool simply because it offers the highest payout.
3. Editorial Independence
Our editorial team decides which tools to cover, how to score them, what to praise, and what to criticize — independent of business or affiliate considerations. Specifically:
- Reviews and rankings are based on our published methodology (see How We Review).
- We will recommend a free or open-source tool over a paid affiliate-eligible tool when the free option is genuinely better for the use case.
- We will publish negative findings about a partner's product if our testing supports them.
- Sponsored placements are visually distinct and labeled “Sponsored”, “Featured”, or “Promoted”.
4. What We Don't Do
- We don't accept payment to remove negative reviews.
- We don't fabricate experience or pretend to have used a tool we have not used.
- We don't cloak affiliate links to hide their nature; we use clean redirect URLs that are obvious in the address bar.
- We don't guarantee a tool's pricing, performance, or availability — vendors change those frequently and you should verify on the merchant site before purchasing.
- We don't share your personal information with affiliate networks beyond standard click attribution. See our Privacy Policy.
5. Use of AI in Our Content
We are an AI-tools publication, so we use AI throughout our workflow — for research, drafting, summarization, and quality checks. Every published article is reviewed and edited by a human before it goes live. We do not publish unreviewed AI-generated content. When an article relies materially on first-hand human testing, we say so explicitly.
6. Inline Disclosures
Pages with affiliate links display a short banner near the top such as: “Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.” This satisfies the FTC requirement that material connections be disclosed clearly and conspicuously, close to the recommendation.
7. Questions and Feedback
If you ever feel a piece of content reads more like an ad than a review, tell us. Email hello@ai-best.deals and we will review and correct as needed. For partnership inquiries, write to partners@ai-best.deals.
